Bhavaghni Guruji's Message on Gita Jayanthi

IMG 0173Gita Jayanthi is an auspicious day there are no words to describe the auspiciousness of this day. Vaikuntha Ekadashi is the day on which Vyasa Maharishi gifted mankind the most important of the Veda scriptures in the form of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita. Srimad Bhagavad-Gita is the only companion for the human being to lead his/her life in the right path, to know his true aims in his life and to show the right path to achieve his/her aim.

Srimad Bhagavad-Gita should not be seen as a Hindu scripture, it’s not specific to any religion, the human being is just one among 8.4 million species, what makes the human being special is, it’s gifted with the knowledge to understand the true wisdom, the true wisdom which was put before us in the form of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita by Paramatma himself in his own words.  Srimad Bhagavad-Gita teaches us what one has to do as a human being; it gives us the knowledge that one should posses to understand the purpose of our existence as a human being. If Srimad Bhagavad-Gita and the knowledge it impart on the human being is not there, then there would be no difference between an animal and a human being. The human being would be nothing but a two legged animal if Srimad Bhagavad-Gita does not exist.

Day by day we are distancing ourselves from Srimad Bhagavad-Gita, during our times of constant change, we need to think of people who still follow the principles of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita and draw inspiration from them. When we look around us we can see people who still follow the principles of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita in word and sprit and use it to transform their lives to lead a happy and peaceful life. All learned scholars, spiritual gurus and all Bhavaghni members live amongst us who lead their lives as preached by Srimad Bhagavad-Gita.

By leading a normal family life by performing his day to day duties as a father, husband, freedom fighter and a leader to the nation, Mahatma Gandhi lived his life every moment by following the principles of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita  and showed us that everyone can live their lives by following the principles of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita. Mahatma Gandhi on several occasions has said Srimad Bhagavad-Gita is like his mother, he also said “when in distress, when in the darkness of doubt, when unable to come to a conclusion and when not able to find solutions Srimad Bhagavad-Gita has been my friend, philosopher and guide and been a true companion on how to lead my life.”

Other leaders like Gopal Krishna Gokhale, Shri Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Vinoba Bhave, Chakravarti Rajagopalachari, are all followers of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita, who have lived their lives by the principles of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita and have become great leaders who still live in our hearts and minds and still have a permanent respect in our hearts.

Today we worship the great souls of Mahatmas and Maharishis like Shirdi Sai Baba, Ramana Maharishi, Ramakrishna Paramhamsa all of them were followers of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita, they earned the wisdom by learning and following the principles of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita and have became great Gurus and enlightened souls

Today Srimad Bhagavad-Gita has turned to be a book which is only meant to perform Pooja and to recite the slokas in some competition; this has to change, for mankind to be different from being animals.

Srimad Bhagavad-Gita teaches us two things. One, How to lead this life and Two, to make Moksha as the ultimate aim, to be peaceful at all times, wish others to be peaceful, help others to be peaceful, not to disturb other’s peace and make it the aim of our life.

When one has made Moksha as the ultimate aim and to attain Moksha, the only guide by our sides is Srimad Bhagavad-Gita and none will be an alternative to Srimad Bhagavad-Gita

Bhavaghni School of Mysticism celebrates Gita Jayanthi by performing Bhavaghni Maha shanthi Yagnam. The Yagnam is performed by reciting slokas from Srimad Bhagavad-Gita, with the thought that everything is Paramatma and Paramatma is everything. Maharishis have gifted us the ultimate SHANTHI MANTRAM which is recited at the end of each chapter.

Om Sarvesham Svastir Bhavatu
Sarvesham Shantir bhavatu
Sarvesham Purnam Bhavatu
Sarvesham Mangalam Bhavatu.
Loka Samasta Sukino Bhavantu
OM Shanti Shanti Shanti
Om - May auspiciousness be unto all.
May peace be unto all.
May fullness be unto all.
May prosperity be unto all.
May the Lord bless the whole world with eternal peace and goodwill.
OM Shanti Shanti Shanti

IMG 0262When offering grains in the yagana gundam we remind ourselves that we need to forgo the sins and the bad habits that we carry with us from all our past janmas. When offering Ghee in the yagna gundam we remind ourselves that we should not have likes or dislikes towards any worldly objects.
By heartily reciting “Loka samastha sukino bavanthu” and with the feeling all living beings shall live in peace and happiness makes this yagna a powerful SAT KARMA, while performing the SAT KARMA on an auspicious day like Gita Jayanthi has manifold effects on our karmas that we perform every day. All these years we have made several sins knowingly or unknowingly which will be compensated by performing this SAT KARMA.

We might think, is it enough to recite only once? What benefits it might bring?

Very soon is the beginning of a new year, we might wish our friends and relatives a happy new year, just once and believe that it will bring happiness to them throughout the year, similarly we wish our friends and relatives on a happy birthday on their birthdays on the belief that it will bring them good luck, when we believe such wishes will bring them joy, so will reciting the slokas from Srimad Bhagavad-Gita, reciting “OM TAT SAT” and reciting the SHANTHI MANTRAM will bring in peace and happiness to all.
When everyone wish and pray with the same thinking and the same attitude that all living beings should live in peace and happiness will it not be enough?

So let us wish everyone to be happy and peaceful.
